Low Voltage Sign Technology
Modern LVT (Low Voltage Technology) signs
we range incorporate special technology,
neon products are using 12VDC as in input
voltage and transform it to 500-2,000 volts
while operating, whereas the traditional
neon products still require to use
6,000-10,000 volts. It makes the
led neon sign products very safe to
touch and clean with no safety issue. The
low voltage requirement also reduces running
costs. When you buy a LED NEON SIGN it
includes a transformer so that you can plug
the sign into a normal Australian Electrical
240 volt power point. IF hard wiring by an
electrician, please have the transformer in
place.
Improved Design
Technology
Most led products do not require
electrodes as needed by traditional high
voltage neon, allowing more room for design, and interchangeable
letters. Additional design functions such as
flowing, blinking, snowing, scrolling are
all inbuit into the led neon sign.
While traditional neon uses tubes with
diameters of 8mm upwards, the pixel of the
led neon sign is between 4.5mm to 7mm (board
size dependent for resolution and viewing
distances). This gives brilliant glow,
luminence and clarity of light. Each pixel
is independently controlled so items such as
graphics, pictures, text and effects can be
made by the user (customer). Also, the
improved design and technology we in place
into the 'standard' sign exceeds many
competiting products. The quality and range
of standard inlcuded features by digital led
signs is very impressive.
Mercury-free and
Lead-free
Unlike other neon signs, all our products
are Mercury and Lead free. Traditional neon
signs made can contain inert gases such as
NEON (Ne) and ARGON (Ar) with mercury to
generate the light. Neon tubes are made by
using TUNGSTEN (W) or LEAD (Pb) in an
traditional high voltage neon sign. Tungsten
neon tube is harder and gives low
Coefficient of Linear Thermal Expansion, so
breakage is minimized. This makes disposal
and recycling more difficult compared to
modern LED. All LED signs we make and offer
elimate any use of Mercury and Lead.
Low Power Consumption
10 to 30 watt per sign. This is
equivalent to approximately thirty percent
of traditional high voltage neon. Thus
saving 70% energy cost. Signs have a life
span over 11 years.
Very Long Life Span
The expected life of a continuous working
sign is approx 100,000 hours. Signs have a
life span over 11 years.
Movable lights
The largest advantage of a sign by our
company is the movable light technology
placed inside each sign. While it may appear
to the outsider that all signs are the same,
internal motherboard quality, lamp and
luminous qualities and advances we give our
Australian customers are far from a cheap
import. The individual led lamps make
scrolling blinking, flipping and
interchangeable letters possible very easily
by the customer.
NEON SIGN COSTS
Neon signs are in general more expensive
than led signage and do not offer the same
flexibility and changeability. In
particular, each neon sign is labour
intensive compared with the ease of altering
and updating your illuminated led sign.
